Step-by-Step Cooking Guide:
1. To prepare the potato filling:
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and cumin spices.
- When the seeds begin to sputter, add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Add the mashed potatoes and stir thoroughly.
- Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Finish with chopped coriander leaves and set aside.
2. Prepare the Gram Flour Batter:
- In a bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water to get a thick batter with no lumps.
3. Form and Fry the Potato Mix:
- Divide the potato filling evenly and form into round patties.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan.
- Dip each potato patty into the gram flour batter, making sure it is thoroughly coated.

- Slice horizontally, leaving one edge intact.
